CGOW Cleaning the Capital 2026

Then, to celebrate Earth Day, you’re invited to our Cleaning the Capital event. On Saturday April 25 from 9am – 12pm at Golden Fries (6505 Jeanne D’Arc Blvd), community members will come together to pick up and remove garbage from our streets, forested areas, and riverside. This event makes a tangible difference annually – last year community volunteers removed over 1,055 lbs of garbage! 

Both adults and kids are welcome – come join us in cleaning our community! Supplies will be provided, please wear close-toed shoes and if you have reusable gloves to wear, bring them along! Know a teen who could use some volunteer hours? This is a great opportunity to get them while enjoying the outdoors.
