A Summer of Fun Right in Your Backyard!
This summer, the Convent Glen Orléans Wood Community Association invites you to experience the vibrant spirit of our neighbourhood with an exciting set of fun, family-friendly events we’re calling ‘Community Connections’. Get ready to step outside, meet your neighbours, and create lasting memories at a lineup of gatherings designed to let us all get to know each other better. Whether you’re looking to enjoy some exercise and fresh air with Pedal and Play, participate in family-friendly activities like picnics and yoga in our beautiful parks, or connect with members of local community groups, ‘Community Connections’ offers something for everyone.
We believe that strong communities are built on shared experiences and friendly faces. Our summer events are the perfect opportunity to strengthen those bonds, make new friends, and celebrate the unique charm of Convent Glen and Orléans Wood. Voyageur Park
The CGOW.ca/fe consists of a coffee bike cart (with CA Board Member Arnold playing barista) that will be serving freshly brewed coffee and treats at an affordable price, with all proceeds going to help fund and grow more community events for all of us.

Hiawatha Park
This is our other new community initiative, this one will be hosted in every corner of our catchment over the course of the summer. These will be family centric events with free hot-dogs and treats for the kids and a gathering of family and friends to welcome summer in our neighbourhood.

Weekly on weekend (time varies)
Starting from Father Richard Ward Park
We will be starting from a planned time and location each weekend and exploring our community on two wheels (bike, scooter, etc.), before ending up at a pre-determined local park or other destination. Once we arrive at the destination, the kids can stay and play, have a snack, and we can all get to know each other better (the parents who make it have been having great conversations each week).

Wednesdays in July and August | 7 – 8 PM
Decarie Park
Join us for another year of free outdoor yoga close to home! Every Wednesday evening in July and August, there will be a session (weather permitting). If there are cancellations due to weather conditions, updates are posted at cgow.ca/yoga.
