Membership Drive & Contest

We are running a membership drive and contest to get more local residents engaged in the community and aware of the things the community association is working on. To make things a little more interesting, you can earn points for every resident you refer to register as a member of the community association. Note that the geographic boundaries for membership still apply in this contest; only residents within our boundaries will be eligible.

Prizes

We have a $25 gift card from Dominion City Brewing Company as first prize, which we’ll award to the first member who gets to 1000 points (this is the equivalent of referring 10 new members, see the rules below). We also have some consolation prizes from Dominion City (beer mug and hat) and a hat from Almanac Urban Mill and Bakery for other members to reach that milestone.

How it Works

When you sign up, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a special link and a Member ID number. Each referral that uses your link or Member ID will earn you 100 points in the membership drive, and we’ll be highlighting the ‘leaderboard’ (aka the people who refer the most new members) on our website here and in the monthly newsletter.

To make the friendly competition even more enticing, you’ll also receive 10 additional points each time a member you referred goes on refer other members, and subsequent referrals initiated by those members will also earn you 1 extra point. We will update this page on a regular basis with a leaderboard of the most prolific point-getters.

We’re hoping this network effect will help spread the word, and similar to an old-school phone tree, a little effort can go a long way.
