CGOW Clothing Swap 2026

On April 11th from 10am to 2pm, the Environment Committee is hosting the 2nd Annual Clothing Swap at Bob MacQuarrie Recreational Center in Halls A & G. Bring a reusable bag (or several) and some friends, and “shop” for new-to-you items for free. Don’t have items to contribute? No problem! By attending the event and picking up items you’ll use instead of buying brand new ones, you’re helping to protect the environment and giving these items a new life! If you do have items you’d like to contribute, please fill out our form (https://forms.gle/LaxTmLcLZJPkcDpk7) or reach out to Convent Glen Orleans Wood Community Association Environment Committee ([email protected]) to arrange a pick-up/drop-off ahead of the event. All items are provided at no cost and all leftover items will be donated to community support organizations! Last year, we hosted our first Clothing Swap and over 100 people came out to swap or shop new-to-them clothing and accessories. An estimated 1,500 lbs of clothing and accessories were donated, including everything snowsuits to prom dresses and everything in between. In addition to providing a fun and social eco-friendly experience in the neighborhood, collected items were sorted and delivered to the Snowsuit Fund, Youth Service Bureau, The Royal, Dress for Success, The Mission Ottawa, and Fairy Godmother Ottawa.
