Do we Need a Neighbourhood Watch?
Matthieu Gagnon
Vice President

The community association has been contacted to discuss establishing or re-establishing neighbourhood watches as part of the city of Ottawa’s Neighbourhood Watch program. As a board, we are looking into it, but wondering if this is a solution in search of a problem.
January is Crime Stoppers Month
What Is Crime Stoppers?
Crime Stoppers provides a safe and anonymous way for the public to report information about
criminal activity. Tips are received by Crime Stoppers — not police — and can lead to
investigations, arrests, and safer communities.
January is Crime Stoppers Month, a time to recognize the important role community members
play in preventing and solving crime. Crime Stoppers is a community-based program that allows
residents to share information about crime anonymously, helping police keep our
neighbourhoods safe.
